The OTC have three well maintained Floodlit all weather AceTM porous open graded macadam courts and are free of charge for members to use.
Our pavilion whilst small provides changing and toilet facilities, a small functioning kitchen area and storage areas with notice boards to keep Members informed of current events.
Access to the pavilion is via a key which can be ordered when renewing or joining and selecting the key option on the membership form or contacting the club secretary on 01256 703292 or emailing email@example.com.
Court 1(Pavilion side) and 2(Centre) are always available to Members when not reserved for Club events (see section on Court Availability under ‘Courts & Coaching’).
Court 3, farthest from the pavilion, is referred to as the ‘Parish Court’. This court can be hired by the public for £4 per hour. See court ‘Availability section’ for hiring details or Tennis court public hire document listed below.
The floodlights meet the LTA recommendation for County standard and are controlled from inside the pavilion via switches accessed from the coded locked cabinet. All members can use the floodlights at no extra charge and full instructions are posted beside the cabinet. Warning! The floodlights automatically turned off at 10 pm.
Please Note! Entrance to the club is via the gate closest to the pavilion and only clean non-marking tennis shoes should be worn on the courts. Courts should not be used when slippery due to rain, ice, snow or frost.
A Sports Tutor Shotmaker Deluxe Tennis Ball Machine is available for use by Members and features –
•Speed ranges from 10 MPH to 95 MPH.
•Spin is adjustable from heavy underspin, to flat, to heavy topspin.
•Interval control adjusts the time between shots from one second to six seconds.
•Trajectory is adjustable between groundstroke and lob.
•Random and programmable oscillator functions.
