It’s that time of year when Wimbledon is approaching and we all want to play like Andy Murray or maybe Serena Williams. Well here’s your chance!
The OTC Championships will begin on Friday May 7th with the draw publication and finish with a Finals Day on Sunday 17th of July. The deadline for entry to the championship draw is the 2nd of May.

OTC 2016 Wimbledon Ballot & Bank Holiday Tournament – May 2nd from 11:45am – 5pm
Dear OTC Members,
Thank you to all our members who ‘OPTED IN’ to the Wimbledon Ticket Ballot this year. We have been allocated an unprecedented 14 pairs of tickets.
As we are required to hold our ballot as close to the end of April as we can the committee has decided to hold the Wimbledon Ballot along with our annual May Day Bank Holiday Tournament on Monday the 2nd of May. Running the event on the Bank Holiday weekend has meant we can introduce a ‘Junior tournament’ allowing some of our juniors to also take part.

Continue ReadingOTC District League Team Trials begin with the Mens trials this Monday 4th April – 7.30pm – 9.30pm
Team trials commence this week with the Mens trial on Monday 4th April. The teams will take all three courts for these sessions with short set play to allow the captains to observe level of play and look at possible player pairings.
The team trials are being run early in April just after membership renewals and before our 2016 Summer Season starts to allow players time to prepare for the coming season. Each session will be 2 hours long.
Session dates are –
Mens – Monday 4th April – 7.30pm-9.30pm
Mixed – Wednesday 6th April – 7.30pm-9.30pm

As many of you will be aware it is time to renew your OTC membership. All renewals are effective from 1st April 2016 until 31st March 2017.
It was agreed at the last AGM that Membership Fees would be increased and below is a list of the new fee structure. We have tried to keep the increase as low as possible considering we have a court resurfacing due in the next few years.
New Annual Fees are:
£64.00 Individual Membership (Adult)
£107.00 Joint Membership (Two Adults)
£137.00 Family Membership (Two Adults & Children under 18 or in FTE**)

BTM Wimbledon Ballot 2016 ‘OPT IN’ Closing February 19th!
Dear OTC Members,
This is a gentle reminder that the LTA Wimbledon BTM Ballot 2016 applications are still open until February 19th.
If you aren’t a registered LTA British Tennis Member (BTM), affiliated with the OTC on your LTA BTM account and haven’t ‘OPTED IN’ you will not be eligible to be included in the OTC Wimbledon Ballot Draw for 2016.

Continue ReadingOTC 2016 Spring Floodlit Tennis League is starting February 19th – join up now!
Dear OTC Member
This is an invitation to play in the OTC’s 2016 Spring Floodlit Tennis League.
This year’s Spring Floodlit League will be played on Friday (7pm) and Sunday (5.30pm) evenings starting on February 19th for 3-4 weeks. There will be 3 or 4 teams, each with 4 players with two teams playing on each of the evenings.
A fee of £2 per person will be charged for each match to cover the cost of balls and the floodlights.
